Maybe it's because we stayed up late last night to watch 2022's Academy Awards, or that we're waiting for the warm weather to finally stick around on the East Coast, but this Monday morning, we're dreaming of vacation. We'd love nothing more than to sit poolside drinking a brunch cocktail, or to head fancy dinner by the beach in a breezy outfit. Even looks from Vanity Fair's Oscars after party would work for this imaginary trip — specifically, Barbie Ferreira's striped, strapless Fendi dress, which is from the brand's Spring 2022 collection.
According to Christopher Horan, Ferreira's stylist, the two have actually been waiting for the perfect moment for the Euphoria actress to wear this piece.
"Barbie has loved this look from the moment she saw the collection," he told InStyle via email. "She and I send tons of texts back and forth, and she knew right away. I think we first pinned this look in early December as an option for a super special event."

And those the vacation vibes we were getting? Well, it seems we weren't totally off.
"She loved the colors and just coming back from Brazil, she felt the timing was perfect," Horan said. "The colors and her tan skin felt like a spring kick off."
Ferreira's slicked-back ponytail and bronzed makeup seemed to match that same vacation energy and our eyes were also locked on her coordinating sandals and accessories, which helped to enhance her ensemble.
"She loves doing a colorful shoe — colorful everything, honestly," Horan told us before touching on those geometric bracelets. "We also loved the idea of gold jewelry and interesting shapes. Barbie really loved the idea of an arm cuff with this look."
Horan added that the "flowy angelic" look was somewhat new for Ferreira, and that the main goal for his clients has been to lean into the sexy — which we feel was definitely achieved here.
"I think the biggest aesthetic trend I've noticed throughout all my clients and friends is the wanting to just be kind of hot," he said. "I think after the first lockdown, everyone kind of emerged wanting to feel sexy, and I think you can see it in all the collections currently, too."

And, as you likely already know, a warm, sunny getaway and sexy outfit go hand-in-hand. So, if you have $3,290 to spare, you can pre-order Ferreira's striped Fendi dress for yourself. Although, you don't need to book a flight to find an occasion worthy for such a special piece. We'd say it would also work for a wedding, a variety of formal events, or even just a really nice summer day.
Barbie Ferreira is among the most colorful dressers in young Hollywood, and she proved the point at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on Sunday, March 27, when she arrived in a silk Fendi scarf dress infused with '70s glamour. The "Euphoria" actor, who works with stylist Chris Horan on everything from editorials to events, plucked this design straight off Kim Jones's spring/summer 2022 runway, where an archival logo was revamped. The subtle yet striking "Fendi" pattern was imprinted across Ferreira's strapless dress, which was composed of diagonal ivory, pink, and gold stripes from top to bottom.
